Subscription terms and conditions – Read the following terms and conditions thoroughly before accepting the agreement.


Danish News in English – a news summary from Denmark, delivered in English

Conditions of sale – subscription agreement:
1.
This is an agreement between the Customer and Ritzau.
The present agreement may be assigned by Ritzau at any time to a company affiliated with Ritzau.
The Customer may not assign the agreement to another legal entity without the prior agreement of Ritzau.

The Danish News in English newsletter is delivered from Monday to Friday, but not on Danish public holidays and during weekends, by email to the email addresses given by the Customer. In addition to that the user has access to a news site news.ritzau.com with all the articles that the newsletter sent by e-mail refers to. The email addresses may be changed on an ongoing basis by the Customer, or others may be added during the subscription period, provided that the email addresses belong to the Customer’s company.

To ensure receipt, it is the responsibility of the Customer to approve/whitelist the email sender news@ritzau.dk in his own email/firewall systems.
Ritzau is not liable for any delay caused by force majeure, including war, fire, strike, lockout, accident or other events beyond Ritzau’s control.

Ritzau is the owner of the copyright to the content available in Danish News in English. The Customer may use the content for internal purposes only. Any form of disclosure to the public will be regarded as a material breach of the present agreement. The Customer may not resell the purchased content or otherwise make it available to a third party.
4.
In the event of a material breach by the Customer of his obligations under the Ritzau News subscription agreement, Ritzau is entitled to terminate the agreement with immediate effect. The following circumstances, amongst others, are regarded as material breaches:
· The Customer uses Ritzau News in a manner contrary to the present conditions.
· The Customer fails, following the sending of a reminder letter, to pay for the use
of Ritzau News.
Breach of the present conditions may result in the Customer becoming liable for damages, primarily under the Liability and Compensation Act (erstatningsansvarsloven) and paragraph 83 of the Consolidation Act on Copyright (ophavsretsloven).

In the event of a breach, Ritzau may become liable for damages under the normal rules of Danish law; however, Ritzau is not liable for indirect losses incurred by the Customer, including loss of profit, loss of production, losses resulting from inability to use the subscription as expected, losses resulting from the lapse or breach of an agreement with a third party, and similar. Ritzau is likewise not liable for any loss resulting from errors or defects in the information in Danish News in English.
6.
Ritzau will invoice or debit the payment information made available for the receipt of Danish News in English at the time the subscription period comes into effect.
The payment deadline is 14 days net from the invoice date. In the event of late payment, Ritzau is entitled to demand default interest payments in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Interest Act (renteloven), from the expiry of the deadline until payment is made. Ritzau is further entitled to demand a fee for sending reminder letters.

In the event of non payment by the use a payment card the subscription is set on hold until the matter is settled or if not, the subscription is terminated.
7.
The subscription to Ritzau News comes into effect on the date of the order confirmation, and is in force for the remainder of the month and for the period stated on the order confirmation or invoice. The subscription will be extended automatically one year at a time at the expiry of the preceding subscription period.

A subscription registered in the system directly based on a payment card will be in force from the day the payment has been completed. The termination can vary depending on the subscription the Customer has signed up for.
Other subscriptions may be terminated by either party in writing at 14 days’ notice, ceasing at the expiry of a subscription period. Ritzau may terminate the subscription at one month’s notice should Ritzau cease to offer Danish News in English.

The termination of subscription made directly in the system can be terminated directly in the system.
Termination of other subscriptions not made in the system by the Customer must be notified in writing, either by letter to Ritzau’s address or by email to salg@ritzau.dk.
