Danish fashion brand Noa Noa declares bankruptcy

The company behind Danish fashion brand Noa Noa, Nordic Fashion Brands, has gone bankrupt as confirmed by chairman Nick Jensen and reported in the Statstidende official journal. The issues began with a delayed financial report, leading to a catastrophic situation. Nordic Fashion Brands, under reconstruction since being forced into dissolution in August for late financial reporting, was declared bankrupt on September 27 by the Helsingør Court of Bankruptcy. As a result, Noa Noa’s remaining two stores in Roskilde and Helsingør have closed. The company has a sizeable stock of goods, including retail stores and intellectual property rights, which the appointed curator, attorney Anders Ørskov Melballe, is looking to sell. The extent of the company’s debt is still unclear. Noa Noa was founded in 1981 and expanded to include Noa Noa Miniature for children’s clothing and Unmade Copenhagen.
