Interest in Danish defense companies high

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen reports strong interest in Danish companies at the annual defense industry fair in the USA (AUSA) where about 20 Danish businesses participated. Despite not having a large industry like Germany or France, Poulsen emphasizes Denmark’s innovative products, including drones and anti-drone systems. In Washington D.C., approximately 650 companies are at the fair, which attracts an estimated 30,000 attendees. Poulsen met with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, discussing the war in Ukraine and NATO’s strength goals, and acknowledged Denmark’s support to Ukraine, including F-16 jet donations and training of Ukrainian military personnel. The discussions also covered aiding Ukraine in strengthening its own military production capabilities. Poulsen believes Denmark’s defense industrial strategy needs updating to assist its defense companies in entering new markets.
