PM seeks to enforce Middle East separation

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen calls for the international community to ‘enforce’ a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, a stance she explains in an interview with Weekendavisen. She critiques both Hamas, which does not desire a two-state solution, and the current Israeli government’s opposition to it. However, despite previously being open to the possibility of military action to enforce the solution, she has denied any intentions for military deployment. Frederiksen believes there is no alternative but to force a solution through means other than traditional ones, separating the parties and maintaining presence in the area. Yet there is a lack of clarity on the specific efforts or military involvement she proposes.
