Realdania CEO Jesper Nygård to step down next year

Jesper Nygård, the CEO of the philanthropic association Realdania for 12 years, has announced he will step down once a successor is in place, expected to be next year. In a press release, Realdania recounts Nygård’s pride in contributing to societal improvements through various projects during his tenure. At 62, Nygård reflects on his difficult decision to leave, having joined the entity in 1989 and served as chairman and later as CEO since 2013. Although he is resigning as CEO, Nygård will continue his involvement, particularly with the international activities and 25th anniversary celebrations. Realdania boasts 185,000 members, has supported over 5,000 projects with 23 billion kroner, and recently reported a 796 million kroner profit and 26.5 billion kroner in equity for 2023. Any property owner can join the association for free, which also runs the knowledge center Bolius.
