Queen Margrethe hospitalized after a fall
Queen Margrethe was admitted to Rigshospitalet following a fall on Wednesday evening. Despite the circumstances, she is reportedly doing well but will remain hospitalized for observation. King Frederik, who has spoken to her, expressed confidence in her treatment. The Queen, who abdicated in January, has maintained a schedule of official duties and had undergone back surgery in February 2023. This recent hospitalization has led to the cancellation of her appearance at the 75th anniversary event at Aarhus University. Her royal calendar for the future remains uncertain after this incident. Previous health issues linked to her back prompted the cancellation of state visits and other engagements.
