Only 3 Ukrainians in Denmark have reported War Crimes

In the past two years, thousands of Ukrainian refugees have been welcomed in Denmark, fleeing the war against Russia. However, only three have reported Russian war crimes to Danish authorities, as per data from the Justice Ministry. In contrast, Norway has received 4,000 crime reports from refugees. The SF party’s spokesperson on legal affairs, Karina Lorentzen, expressed concern about the low Danish numbers compared to Norway’s, suggesting that Norwegian efforts have been more proactive. Norwegian police actively worked at reception centers, while Denmark distributed multi-language instruction guides for reporting crimes. Lorentzen proposes that Denmark should learn from this experience for the future, taking into account that many Ukrainian refugees have left the centers or returned home.
