Jeppe Søe to leave the Moderates amid criticism

Jeppe Søe has announced his intention to leave the Moderates party, citing a distasteful week and particularly the treatment of employees as his reasons. On the podcast ‘Q&Co,’ Søe expressed his inability to be a part of the recent negativity. This follows the party’s decision not to conduct an independent investigation into workplace conditions, despite complaints from current and former employees about a poor working environment. Søe was one of the party’s founders and insists on the need for the investigation. If he takes his mandate upon exit, the SVM government may lose its domestic majority again. The party’s leadership has yet to respond, but MP Tobias Grotkjær expressed relief over Søe’s decision.
